This is my own recipe which I came up with when I was probably about 12 or so. Everyone always raves about them and they do taste pretty good, even if I do say so myself. I would have to say that my recipe card looks a little rough though. LOL!
Everything but the flour, salt and baking soda are ready to be mixed together.
Adding the flour a little bit at a time.
Time for the chocolate chips. I use 2 whole bags but you can use less if you want more cookie and less chips.
All ready to be made into cookies!First tray in the oven! Can’t wait!

Mia’s Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 1/2c vegetable shortening
1c 2T brown sugar
1c 2T granulated sugar
1 1/2t vanilla
3/4t water
3 eggs
3c unsifted flour
1 1/2t baking soda
1 1/2t salt
2 or 3c chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 F.
Cream shortening, sugars, vanilla, water, & eggs until light and fluffy.
Mix flour, soda, & salt in a bowl and blend into creamed mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Using a teaspoon, drop cookies 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes.
