Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever

This is my own recipe which I came up with when I was probably about 12 or so. Everyone always raves about them and they do taste pretty good, even if I do say so myself. I would have to say that my recipe card looks a little rough though. LOL!

Everything but the flour, salt and baking soda are ready to be mixed together. SAM_3113

Time for the chocolate chips. I use 2 whole bags but you can use less if you want more cookie and less chips. SAM_3116

Mia’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 1/2c vegetable shortening
1c 2T brown sugar
1c 2T granulated sugar
1 1/2t vanilla
3/4t water
3 eggs
3c unsifted flour
1 1/2t baking soda
1 1/2t salt
2 or 3c chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375 F.

Cream shortening, sugars, vanilla, water, & eggs until light and fluffy.

Mix flour, soda, & salt in a bowl and blend into creamed mixture.

Stir in chocolate chips.

Using a teaspoon, drop cookies 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.

Bake 8-10 minutes.
